About Jeffrey Nelson

As a visual artist I felt compelled to give these visions life as I personally witnessed it. The breath taking vistas of the Hawaiian Islands, the sandstone colors of the Grand Canyon to autumn in New England and the Giotto frescoes, Giotto’s Campanile, the collection of works of Michelangelo, Pablo Picasso and Van Gogh, The Palatine Gallery, I have found meaning in my travels. Travel is my Lover, and Art is my Reason for Being.

I found beauty in all that my mind could take in – from the colorful villages surrounding Lake Como and the breathtaking vistas from the Basilica del sagrado corazón tibidabo, Barcelona to the smallest cobblestone, its surface etched by the passing of time. This Inspiration found its nest in my Art and Creativity. I express my sentiments in Canvas and Paint and through the modern technique of Digital mediums. Through brush I bring color and life to my empty canvas. My work isn’t limited to color. I used this creativity to pursue lovely visions of striking Black and White. The brushwork can be broad, sometimes subtle. Not to be undone, my works of color represent another side of my creativity. I love to dabble and mix the beautiful colors to bring a florid life to my visions on canvas.

I have discovered that through digital applications, my creativity can take yet another broad step. With it, I have developed my own unique way of looking at the world, with its reds, blues, greens and all the hues of the rainbow. I combine and experiment with what my mind’s eye digests and produce music for the eye and fulfillment to the soul.

I present these expressions to those who appreciate beauty in its purest form. Art should be studied and not taken for grant, yet bring a vivid zest to all who gaze upon it with an Artists Eye.

For those appreciative viewers and collectors, I would share my work. Some are unique, with only the original. Their sizes vary as do their complexities. Prints of the digital art pieces and photographs are listed. Mine is the work of an upcoming yet experienced artist.

Passing along these visions of my travels are for only the best in collections. My feet have made a million steps in my quest, and that quest is far from over. Not bad for a young child born in Ohio and raised in California, with his eyes and heart outstretched to the massive blue skies and the world beyond.
